Near or Far, ALWAYS use a local Realtor: How Micro-Markets add to ...

About AndyBlasquez

Thanks for dropping in! I?m an East Bay guy for sure. I was born in Oakland, raised in San Ramon, Walnut Creek, and finally Alamo, then moved over the hill to Brentwood to grow my little family. My two little guys, Michael and Jeffrey, are 6th generation Californians. You just don?t see that anymore. We love California?and we?re stayin?! You?ll notice that I tend to be quite candid, direct, and wear my heart on my sleeve. I think people deserve that. Why did I get into Real Estate after a successful run in the corporate sector? I became a Realtor because when I went to buy my first home I was?disgusted. The lack of integrity and wholly self-serving nature of the agents I encountered along the way was shocking. They seemed so truthful! However, it?s better to be?than to seem. So, I saw a need! I became what I wish I had encountered; what I needed?an ethical, efficient, and ultimately effective Realtor. Since becoming a real estate agent several years back, I?ve been fortunate enough to work with a few stand-out agents and brokers. The list is short, but important. There are ethical, hardworking, and effective agents after all. It just took some looking to find them. I was flattered when one of the local board members, a respected veteran in East Bay real estate, asked that I join the Delta Association of Realtors Public Relations Committee. We were charged with the task of not only changing the public?s opinion of Realtors in our area, but in fact challenging the Realtors to embrace the image we?re recreating. Although I?ve sold property in Hayward, Castro Valley, Pleasanton, Livermore, and as far away as Santa Cruz, I feel most qualified to list and sell real property in the following areas: ? Alamo ? Walnut Creek ? San Ramon ? Brentwood ? Oakley ? Discovery Bay So what is it that I strive achieve with my posts? I?m simply providing current, relevant, and informative posts addressing trends and hot topics in East Bay real estate, as well as some atypical perspectives. Typically it?s less the ?What? that?s important, and more the ?Why?. As a Listing Agent I?ve had the opportunity to list homes from the Santa Cruz to the Hayward Hills, from Danville to Discovery Bay. Some were owner occupied, and the others were listed on behalf of various investors and investment groups. Let me just say this. If you?re working from the listing side, with a large investment group, you have to be right?or in the words of The Donald, ?You?re Fired!? My track record speaks for itself. Short Sale Experience I have been processing short-sales since I first started in Real Estate almost 6 years ago. My partner and I have an outstanding track record, and have closed short sales with three mortgages, with various hardships, with homes that are literally falling off their foundations, etc. It?s not the size of the house, the location, or the size of the note. It?s a matter of having a thorough understanding of each lender?s short sale process, as well as a failsafe a redundant system that organizes and manages the documents necessary for a smooth closing. As a Buyer?s Agent: Working with buyers is a thoroughly enjoyable experience for me. Think about it this way: If you were the defensive coach on a sports team, then switched over to the offense, you?d know every play the defense had! HUGE benefit. Having listed dozens and dozens of homes in the last couple of years I feel like I?ve seen it all! So when I work with a buyer I often think to myself, ?Ah! I?ve seen this from the other side! What we need to do is??? It has proven to be quite effective. Investor Experience I?ve worked with one off investors and some of Northern California?s largest investment groups. If you are looking for someone who?s done literally thousands of values, and the legwork to get back ?em up, I am happy to help.
