Alistair Overeem's (36-11-1 NC) positive drug test for elevated testosterone levels cost him a lengthy suspension and now means that his No. 1 contender status as a heavyweight is gone. Now, Overeem is linked to fight Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva (17-4) at UFC 156 in early February.

Silva knows a win against Overeem can skyrocket him to a championship shot, but it all depends on the outcome of the upcoming Cain Velasquez (10-1) vs. Junior dos Santos (15-1) fight set for late December. Silva has stated he will not fight his friend Santos, whether he is the champion or not.

"I do not like to talk about numbers, but surely conquering Overeem, I'm in the top three in the category," said Silva. The belt is a good friend of ours [Santos], and will stay with him because he will win over Velasquez on December 29."

Whatever happens, Silva has made it clear he wants a championship shot and his open to challenging anyone who isn't Santos.

"Every athlete dreams of having the UFC belt one day," said Silva. "I would take a shot at the title, but not against the [Santos]. There are so many people to fight."
