Walls

Do walls ever keep people safe, or do they give illusion of safety while also locking you in one mindset--much like Suburbias become?

I believe this is true and it's been shown by both metaphorical (Iron Curtain) and Physical (Great Wall of China) to Modern (Mexican Border).

By doing this, people are psychologically controlled and fear of outside world. Walls in my own opinion are meant to keep people in, not keep others out as evidenced by the Berlin Wall.

We help the multi-nationals
when they cry out protect us.
The locals scream and shout a bit,
but we don?t let that affect us.
We?re here to lend a helping hand
in case they don?t elect us.
How dare they buy our products
yet still they don?t respect us.
